Lucius relaxed in the bath as he and the others, Agrippa, Cimber, Servilius, and Cato discussed the events before the court. Of a sudden, one of Casca Servilius' servants came in and said that Metellus and the people had gone to Cinna's house. Cinna's doctor warned them that the man was very sick and was not to be disturbed. Nevertheless, they had demonstrated outside of the house and, when there was no response from Cinna, Metellus persuaded them to head to the Assemblies. At this news, the five men looked at each.
“I don't know what he is up to now, but I'm heading to the Assemblies.” With that, Lucius stood up and began drying himself off. His thoughts were racing as he tried to figure out what Metellus was planning. Well, he thought, wondering won't do any good. The afternoon sun was bright overhead as he walked out of the baths and walked to the Assemblies.
