HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF ANCIENT WORLDS

If this is your first visit to AncientWorlds, and you’d like to become a member, you have various options from which to choose.

    How to Register

First, however, you must register with the site. This is absolutely free of charge. To register, you must go to the Registration Page (http://www.ancientworlds.net/aw/Registrants/EmailForm) and submit your email address. Click here to see what the registration screen will look like.

If you were a former member of AncientSites and would like to reclaim your original AS persona, check the "I was a member of AncientSites" checkbox. (See footnote.) After filling in your email address, press the "Submit Query” button and a popup screen will appear.

Click here to see what the email notification screen will look like.

If you entered the correct email address, an email from feedback@ancientworlds.net will be awaiting you. If, however you do not receive an email from feedback, and have waited at least 10 minutes, please verify the email address you submitted as it may be incorrect. If you verify the address and find it is correct, then please send an email to feedback@ancientworlds.net to let them know your attempt to register failed.

After you receive your email from feedback, follow the link given. It will take you to a screen with a popup that validates your registry.

Click here to see what the validation screen will look like.

Click on the “OK” button and the popup will disappear, leaving a screen where you can create your own persona. Click here to see what the persona name creation screen will look like. Choose any first name you would like (NOTE: the name is case sensitive, so capitalize it or not as you like), then scroll through the “last names”. These names are grouped into categories by what we call "worlds" (although most are actually countries or regions): “The Orient”, “Rome”, “Hellas”, “Egypt”, “Mesopotamia”, “Celtia”, “Germania” or “Americas”. Once you find one you like highlight it and click “submit”.

You will be taken to a new page and will be told if the name you’ve chosen is available. If the name is already taken a message will open telling you so. Click the back button on your browser and choose another name.

Once you have a name that is not taken, you can enter a password of your choosing. On the same screen, you can choose which gender your persona will be: male or female. Click, “submit query” when you are done, and you are taken to your home site.

Click here to see what the persona creation screen will look like.

A popup message will be displayed that reads:

Thanks for logging in (Your name)!

    The starting balance for
    your cashbox is 2,000

    Old AncientSites Members
If you were a registered member of AncientSites, you can retreive your old persona name - it has been reserved for you at AncientWorlds. When registering, submit the email you used to retrieve your password and newsletters from AncientSites. This way you will only have to use one of the passwords of one of your persona, and you are re-registered to this site!
