I feel that just about all the articles, documentaries, news broadcasts, et cetera that we encounter are in a way propaganda. Some people say they hate propaganda, but what they mean is that they hate propaganda that they disagree with.

I also think that, as Kallistos said, propaganda is art - or perhaps art is propaganda. Art is generally intended to get an emotional or intellectual reaction out of someone, as is propaganda. Art generally reflects the views or feelings of the person or people who created it, as does propaganda.

People like propaganda. We are drawn to it, although we don't always realize that. What we have to watch out for is the propaganda that contains actual fabrications instead of merely presenting the information that the author finds relevant.

And, as with anything, we shouldn't assume that one source is the absolute authority on the topic. That is rarely the case, and even the rare instance that it is you can't know that until you've looked into the matter enough. Even if you are relatively certain that all the facts presented are true, there are almost always facts that aren't included. Sometimes looking farther into it can lead you to conflicting information, but then at least you have the chance to decide which you think is true.
