It's six in the morning, and no, I didn't just get up - I've BEEN up, WAY too long to be doing any kind of rational thinking at this point.
Sometimes I wonder if everyone loses their mind around 3 in the morning....you ever notice that that is when all the bad stuff happens...I blame it on lack of judgement.
Well, took a look at the electoral estimates for the Presidential race, and things aren't looking good. How America could honestly vote for Bush and feel safe is beyond me. I mean, come on guys, do we need a refresher course in liberty? Common sense? Maybe a little fiscal understanding? (First lesson - deficits are bad, HUGE deficits are worse, and tax cuts DON'T help).
Odd how stupid America is these days....people blame it on television...I don't know about that, since I don't watch TV, but plenty of smart people do, so I don't think that's it...I think we've all just gotten used to being top dog. I watched a video online last night of our troops in Afghanistan. AFGHANISTAN. THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD - and we were there in the tens of thousands within three months, and had already bombed the sh!t out of the place before that. If that doesn't illustrate the long arm of the US, I don't know what can...
Of course, just because we have a long arm doesn't mean a finger or two can't get bit off when we reach into someone else's cookie jar (ahem...IRAQ...ahem...excuse me)...
I also think its sorta ironic that the candidate for President who DIDN'T go to war (ahem...BUSH...ahem...damn this cough) during Vietnam is FOR a war that is becoming increasingly like Vietnam every day....and the candidate that DID go to war, actually physically carried an M16 in a far off foreign land (take that you conservative morons...I don't care what those swift boat guys said, at least Kerry was in Vietnam, and you can't deny the fact that he got shot at and Bush didn't) anyways, the candidate that has seen war and what it truly is is AGAINST the war in Iraq...weird, huh?
D@mn phone calls...I hate work. My job is pointless. Seriously. But anyways, I'm sure you aren't reading this for my whining and griping.
Picked up Morrowind the other day. A friend of mine had described it awhile back as 'Heroin' instead of 'Morrowind' (See how that rhymes? clever...) and let me tell you something - he's absolutely right. That is the most addictive game I have ever played. I get to be a thief and an assassin....its awesome. And I'm rich as h3ll, and I'm only about a month into it (in-game time)....pretty cool.
Oh yeah, I have Morrowind for Xbox, since I just got my Xbox last week. Along with Halo, NFL Street (which is a cool game), and now Morrowind. I also got Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell on Ebay for 4 bucks...I know, its a steal, right? Catch - Halo 2 is coming out Nov 9th (I already have my copy reserved and paid for - just have to pick the bastard up, along with about twelve four packs of Red Bull).
(Halo 2) + (Morrowind) = (No time for Splinter Cell)
Oh well. It'll be there when I tire of the other two games (don't know when that will be exactly....)
Well its about time for me to start cleaning up the shop so I can get out of here on time, maybe even a few minutes early. Worked twelve hour shifts Saturday and Sunday night, so I'm ready to sleep until tomorrow....not that that will happen, but I can dream can't I?
See y'all later.
