Food in the Mountain Villages
Normally food in the villages consisted of both cultivated and wild vegetables, bamboo shoots, banana flowers and pepper sauce which we would eat with glutinous rice three times a day. Fish and meat were rarely found because meat and fish was difficult to get, since people had very little time to go hunting or fishing. The villagers worked almost all the time for seven days a week.
