"Oh, you should have said you want beer right away. What was that talk about cash? Well anyhow, here you go. That would be II sestertii" the bartender says as soon as he sees the deggar in Maximius's hand.

Maximius takes his Kash Bowl and walks back to the corner table. But Maximius's eye vision is not normal due to the seven gray drinks, and he doesn't see the midget jumping in the middle his way.

Maximius is shouting to Louisa from the distance:
"Louisa, I manawged to get beehr, I'm not that dwrunk - -"
when he hits the midget. Maximius's drink flies through the air towards Jojo. Maximius hits the ground and the bowl flies high above Jojo's table and hits Jojo's torch.

Maximius sees what is happening, rises up and shouts to everyone in the next tables pointing at the window behind the bar:

"Look, there is a comet! An owmen!"

Louisa understands what Maximius is trying and is fast enough to repeat:

"A comet! Omen!"

Maximius takes a torch from the wall and lits Jojo's torch with it while everybody is looking out of the window.

"That is no comet, Flavius" Heraklia states. "It's Venus, dear."
"Oh? Venus? Well, never mind then. A comet would have been nice, though" Maximius says and everyone around him nods. It would have been nice.
