I begin laughing uproariously at the wolf pup's explination of bees' knees. Good thing we had so many dogs running around my childhood home, they taught me how to understand dog and luckily wolf is just a different dialect. Or maybe I've just had too much to drink, and I am hearing things. I shrug, then try to reassure my puzzled tablemates. "Did someone say something about bees? Or honey? Oh, it must have been all this talk about MEAD!" I raise my mug and toast, "TO MEAD!" then consume the entire mugful in one long swallow. Grinning at Aelfwine, I ask, "Why are there bees flying around your head?" I shake my head to clear it, & it feels like there are bees flying INSIDE my own head. "UGH! I sink I've had enuf..."
