For your Netscape popup problem. Have you tried this?

In Netscape, as you probably already know, you can add http://www.ancientworlds.net to Edit > Preferences > Privacy & Security > Popup Windows > Allowed Sites. This will let the comm panel popup. But I also found that the grams will popup (or at least they do for me with my Google toolbar) if you also add http://38.144.92.98 to the allowed sites list. That's the Who's Online Server and that's where the grams actually originate from.

I haven't tried it with Netscape, but it works for my Google toolbar and it fixed Lotus's never-ending popup problem just before the hoods launched, much to her chagrin. LOL
