Your comment about Cali's geography changes is so true! When my brother-in-law died we drove down to Riverside (where hubby is from)for the funeral. I must say I was quite surprised by the scenery! The mountains are gorgeous! It's green and lovely. Even down south there are the Jacob's ladder bushes (is that the right name) which I'd never seen before.
