Excellent choice, and it would certainly suit our needs...

As for the time period, I too agree that we probably will never agree on a specific time period - however, it would be helpful, so we at least have a reference for ourselves...after all, we can't have knights that come from the Children's Crusade and the First Crusade...

Something I just thought of - we could eliminate the need for a specific time period if we were to all agree not to mention specifics (eg "I just returned from the Third Crusade...") This could be accomplished by simply referring to such events in general (eg "I just returned from the Crusades...")
