Joust Tilting Rules 1.0 |
1. How to Play |
A. The Marshal of the Joust
|
The first article is that the Marshal shall declare a tilting joust between knights.
The second article is that the Marshal shall receive a gram from each knight upon which the knight's posture and any joust bonus is declared.
The third article is that the Marshal shall prepare the course for a tilting joust. The barrier is to be inspected to ensure the safety of the horses. To ensure a quick pace the Marshal should have two instances of their browser open. The first to be displaying this the Tilting Joust Game page and the other the Jousting Thread to display the results.
The forth article is the Marshal shall ensure the names of the knights are on the lists1. This is required only on the first course. The Marshal then applies the Posture2 and Bonus3 to each knight as appropriate. After ensuring this is made ready, the Marshal clicks once on the Press to TILT4 button. The numeric results are displayed. The Marshal then clicks the Play by Play5 button and then the Select All6 button. The former will present HTML code to be placed in the Jousting Thread and the former copies this code for Internet Explorer users. A Marshal using Netscape must then press ctrl-c to copy the highlighted code.
The fifth article is that the Marshal shall paste the results of the course to the Jousting Thread and await the posture grams from the jousting knights.
The sixth article is that the winner shall be determined when a knight has at least six points combined from lance breaks and attaints or a winner shall be immediately declared should he unhorse his opponent. Should both knights have more than six points at the end of a given course, the knight with the greater number of points shall be declared the victor.
The seventh article is that during a sanctioned tournament the Marshal must ensure that the results of the tilting joust are record on the appropriate Jousting Tree.
|
In summary the actions of the Marshal are thus:
- Names in Persona boxes.
- Click on appropriate Posture button.
- Click on appropriate Bonus button.
- Click on Press to TILT button.

- Click on Select All button. Netscape users must then ctrl-c to copy code.
