So I am watching "Decisive Battles" on The History Channel tonight.

    They are doing Pharsalus.

The intro/build up to it has pretty boy Matthew Settles speaking to the camera about the events that lead up to the battle.

Imagine my surprise when I hear this GQ model wannabe tell the audience that Caesar was once married to Pompey's daughter, Julia.

    WTF?!?!!?

I was almost ready to believe I heard that wrong. Fortunately, I was also recording it. At the end of the show, I played it back. Yup, that's what he said.

Jesus Tapdancing Christ! Don't they have at least one fact checker or post-production editor to catch such blazingly boneheaded gaffs? Or is it that they just do not care and figure no one will catch their stupid errors?

Cable TV has a lot to answer for...
