Caius Aurelius Cotta was in such a hurry to make landfall that when he did, he fell upon the land, having tripped over the last plank of the gangway.
"Cursed seas! I will never travel by ship again!" the quickly recovering Praetor said.
"What about the trip back to Rome?" asked Basilus.
"Basil! Shush up! I don't have to think about that until the end of the year, thank the Gods, or maybe the year after, if Rome is kind. Anyways, where is this palace that once belonged to the Kings of Bithynia, but now houses a more noble sort by far?"
"Huh?" asked Basilus.
"The governor's palace, young chap!"
