she agreed and I thanked her and told her unofficially she had my vote. I asked that she douse me well off stage. I let the tunic cling to my chest and follow the curve of my torso. As it was well saturated I jumped onto the center of the stage and snapped up to my full height. I stood looking out at the audience. I smiled and I introduced them all to the manual of arms with a pugil staff. I swung it up to my shoulder, and snapped it back to the front. At no time did it strike another living being , but the proximity alone was enough to cause a general retreat from the stage, I snapped the staff around my head and while turning quickly I stabbed it out in a spear like manner. I returned it to the front and spun in a manner to be used as a shield. It was a blur. I hadn't had this much fun in quite some time. The silence in the audience should have been upsetting to me but I had always liked the quieter places. Especially during combat. I always had more luck in stealth. That's one reason I so loved the staff. It could be oh so quiet.
I leaped in the four directions and demonstrated the four basic defense moves. I was not as good at them as the attack strokes but it was good to know them. I at this point was glistening more than the water could have done, but I did feel so much better, I wound up with a split and then returned to my feet and did a shoulder role off stage. I wasn't surprised at the lack of applause. I did fel so much better though.
