How is it that you always try to twist situations to fit your own agenda, Urgulanius? Can you not speak of a matter on it's actual merits and de-merits rather than use falsehood as an argument?
The edict I have made regarding the college of the tribunate STRENGTHENS the college of the tribunes not weakens it!
Certainly it prevents single tribunes from emasculating the college by reducing the whole of the college to slavery of the machinations of the basest member.
Currently there is no way for the college to express upon a colleague that his abuse of the office is not acceptable short of a vote to remove the tribune in the Assembly!
This makes it possible for any person to interfere in the workings of the college, but prevents the college from being able to police itself.
Quirites, there is not way that this edict can be considered bad for the plebes, nor is it bad for the college of the tribunate, it is undoubtedly good!
I ask you to question the motives of one who would see singular tribunician power immune to the attentions of his colleagues.
