The golden gaze of the Ard Righ brings out the bard in me. Over a feast of summer's bounties I present an account of my stay in Inver Colpa. Cormac listens with rapt attention while we dine, interrupting with a remark or question now and again. He is especially interested to know the fate of Crom Cruach. His lofty brow crinkles as I narrate the duel that brings the tale to an end. In the silence that follows, the king sits for a long while, thoughtfully stroking his beard.
