    I thought that abducted women were abducted for the sole purpose to "freshen" the clan's bloodlines anyway. If the kidnapped woman was of noble birth, then it would be expected she was chosen by and married to someone of high status in the clan, and her family would pay her bride price to that man. Am I wrong in this? I guess the same would go for women of a lower status, just on a lesser scale?
