As Kitsune enters the back door of the inn, Monkey God is puzzling over another cryptic parchment. This one concerns the proper placement of plants in a garden, which explains what she discovered behind the inn.
An important piece of information seems to be missing, however, and Monkey urges everyone to search the inn for whatever they can find.
Kitsune moves out into the main room of the bar, checking under the tables, and delicately poking through a pile of miscellaneous trash that was swept into one corner.
Yorihito comes over to join her, bending down and looking through the same pile. "What are we looking for?"
She carefully pushes aside a piece of broken glass and turns to him. "Monkey God has another puzzle, but some of the information is missing. He wishes us to search for anything which might be helpful."
Yorihito nods seriously, "For him I will go through trash. I saw people out in the garden earlier, and I saw the puzzle."
Kitsune frowns in thought, "I found an interesting spot in the garden, but there is more to it than just that one spot. I'm not sure exactly what we're supposed to be looking for."
Yorihito gestures toward the door, "That young fellow you were with earlier, I saw him too. He went that way."
She smiles and nods, "He is no doubt searching as well."
Yorihito speaks casually, but he watches Kitsune with a sideways glance, "He is good with people."
Kitsune lowers her eyes to examine a torn scrap of paper, then tosses it aside. "Yes, he's very entertaining."
For a while, not a sound is heard but the odd shuffling of bits and pieces, then Yorihito breaks the silence. "There is nothing here. Do you like him?"
Kitsune straightens and dusts off her hands, the corners of her mouth twitching. "He is pleasant company, I think you would like him as well."
He releases the breath which he didn't realize he was holding. "It is always good to have pleasant companions on a long journey."
She smiles at him and bows her head gracefully. "Especially the presence of those we have come to value most."
