And I am not really saying they did. First, it appears to me from your wording that you take all forms of augury to be the same.
I have said repeatedly that I do not equate the two in later times, but very early on when Rome was being founded perhaps there was a blend, and I cannot help but believe that the Etruscan neighbors who were a short walk away had influence in this. I think you like to bring this up a lot as a paper tiger, as if it bolstered your argument, but it is 'neither here nor there' as they say.
Now remarkably, the rest of your 'Ad nauseum' post I can agree with. In fact you bring up a number of points which lend themselves to my argument in favor of Etruscan influence, so I guess through this debate we have arrived at the consensus that I mentioned a week or two earlier.
