    evaluate the other races, Indis; of course we will. I simply meant that we should be careful in those evaluations that we don't form our assessments based exclusively on current human standards. It's something that we humans are inclined to do, and I think doing so can warp or distort our overall judgement: in much the same way that, for example, some scholars tend to evaluate medieval life without taking into account the different mores and values of the time; or the judgements of pre-Columbian native American cultures are formed by archaeologists with a Christian European background. I believe we should at least try to be aware of our own personal bias and prejudices, and do what we can to take them into account when we evaluate beings who are radically different from us, that's all. And, no, it isn't easy to do that. One can be acutely aware of someone else's prejudice, but totally blind to one's own...
