I love to reconstruct the ancient buildings also. but only in 3d. Some of my favorite constructions have been a Pharoahs palace circa 1209bc, Pyramids ofcourse, castles from the middle ages and a monastary from that time. A fort from the 1700s, the Theatrum Marcellus, the Circus Maximus and my lastest is the Roman Forum, roughly from 100bc thru 200ad. Calpurnia sent me a photo of Julius Caesars home in Herculanium and now the objects are made and I believe she will be constructing that in the near future. Here is a screen shot of The Roman Forum I am presently working on. The beauty of working in 3d is that you can walk thru the buildings and visit builds by other people. Not everyone envisions the buildings the same and its interesting to see their ideas come to life.
