"Talk to you? HAH! Toman put you into jail too! You are no better than I...a caged animal waiting for the mighty Lord Toman to throw you a crust of bread", Imase sneered gleefully at me.
Ok, Imase had a point. The sun had set and risen, and we were well into the next day...and still no Toman. My temper was not good and I wanted a decent meal. I needed it. Why hadn't anyone rescued me from this situation?
"Judge", Imase addressed me in a sarcastic note, "I hope that Lord Toman comes to get you soon. You snore!"
"Do not...how dare you! You would do well to remember that I am held in great esteem by the population. Plus I do not snore, I am a lady", I growled in unison with my stomach at Imase.
"Yeah well as far as I can see, you arent held in anymore esteem than I am. You're here and so am I", Imase laughed at his put down.
"I am sure that Toman just got busy and forgot about telling the jailers to release me", I offered as an excuse. Lord Toman was not going to get off so easily. He was on my "Most Wanted" list of those who needed a swift kick in the backside and a generous payback for his little prank.
"Judge, he ain't coming back. He's going to leave you in here until someone else comes and gets you. I sure hope you have friends out there or you're going to start to smell real soon. Look on the bright side though...you might lose a few pounds eating the meager portions of food offered here", Imase smiled widely. He certainly had an over-inflated ego...he kind of reminded me a bit of Toman.
"You just wait...I will be released soon. Very soon. And then I will deal with you", I shot back at Imase. The man was beginning to irritate me. I only hoped that the angry steam that was building inside me didnt start to blow from my ears. Where was Toman? He certainly had a lot of explaining to do...after my bath and a good meal...maybe the meal to start with instead. First things first, I always say...priorities are important.
