As a newcomer to Athens, I would like to praise Athena.

*Walks up the Athenian Acropolis, passes through the Propylaia, beholds the great statue of Athena Hygieia... continues walking to the Parthenon... places the oinochoe on the ground, looks subserviently at the Athenaaa Parthenos statue, extends the arms*

humble to You, O Guardian of Athens, this jug is dedicated.
Obedient to You, I ask You to place me under your aegis..."
