    ~Pueblo Blessing ~

    Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

    Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

    Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

    Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

    Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you."

    Voices That Beautify The Earth

    Voice above,

    Voice of Thunder,

    Speak from the dark of clouds;

    Voice below,

    Grasshopper-voice,

    Speak from the green of plants;

    So may the earth be beautiful

    Cherokee Prayer Blessing

    May the Warm Winds of Heaven

    Blow softly upon your house.

    May the Great Spirit

    Bless all who enter there.

    May your Mocassins

    Make happy tracks

    in many snows,

    and may the Rainbow

    Always touch your shoulder.

    The Rock -Lloyd Carl Owle (Cherokee)

    The rock lays near

    While light comes and goes

    The rock only exists

    Said to have no soul

    The rock cannot be sad

    It knows not the time

    It has no life to hold

    It canít feel love

    As we admire it

    It remains in stillness

    Yet in its own way

    May watch!
