Leave it to Pet Luc to be on the cutting edge of literary controversy.

I thought I was the only one who knew about the Hopper controversy, but I see I've been scooped again by Pet Luc!

Don't want to spill any SPOILERS, but just as the DVC deals with some controversial religious identifications, there is another explosive identification behind the Edward Hopper Code (the EHC).

Examine this famous painting carefully. Sure, it looks innocent enough. But who are these random people? If the world at large knew, a billion people would be up in arms!

    Nighthawks at the Diner

The authors claims that, in an unpublished diary, Hopper identified the couple at the bar as the Prophet Muhammad and his beloved wife Khadijah. The man with his back to us is Abu Bakr, the first caliph, and father of Aisha. The man behind the counter? In a brilliant inversion, Hopper has transformed the black slave and first muezzin Bilal into a figure in all white, outwardly portraying the purity that resided inside of his black outer shell.

I expect this to be even more explosive than the DVC. When the Muslims of the world find out, who knows what they'll do? Heck, the peace and loving-kindness we Euro-Americans have come to expect from our Middle Eastern neighbors may well become a thing of the past!

Let's keep our fingers crossed that this book is never translated into Arabic!

PS: I'm willing to bet that Tom Waits has known this all along...
