Here's an idea for a help system. This idea has been around for awhile and Corny specifically asked that it be completed.
The basic structure of this system allows a help page specific to a site context such as 'groups', 'worlds', etc be built and administered via a database and admin pages. Using the admin pages accessed via a login, URLs and a link description can be entered and associated to a topic/context.
At AW, a graphic can be clicked at a home, or a group or world, etc., and a help page opens with the URLs that have been associated to the context.
At this moment, Domus, Groups, General and Worlds help contexts have been created. The javascript and html are written, that allows each of these pages to be called and opened from different places in AW as examples of how it would work.
The following part is the hard part, and its where I'm asking for assistance:
1) Determining what existing site URLs should be used for help
2) Getting new help content to be written.
If you want to help out with this, please post in reply here, or leave a message with Corny or myself at our respective homes.
