    To bad that she has lost her head, and feet, and arms. Amazingly she still has charms, and though carved of marble seems ready to take flight. Many of these ancient gods seem to me as angels or demons who became identified with the planets.

    Perhaps Nike is what we think of as a guardian angel. She seems to be a companion of Athena. Strength, wisdom, victory is a winning combination.
