First of all, as Laurels stated, apparently this discussion has been going on ... ::koff:: ... behind closed doors (so to speak), and I had *no* idea this was coming! I mean, I *did* know that Bithia was resigning for personal reasons, and I'd gotten a wiff or two that some talk was goin' on about asking me to be a guru or something. But not *this!*

First, I'm honored that y'all think well enough of me to take this risk! So, thank you. As a comfort to some of you, it may help to know that I'd been around AS for a year or two before its demise and very active in Arachne. I learned so much there and when I moved over to TheComputerVine, I started the WebWeavers Group and was leader until it folded, too. So, I *do* have the experience.

My only "resistance" is that I know there are others here who've put in a LOT of time as Guru, and it surprises me that one of them wasn't promoted to Weaver IV, instead. I'll do my best to serve well, AND ... if there are *any* hard feelings from anyone, I seriously hope you'll connect with me and/or Laurels and say something, okay? It's not my way to step on toes.
