Sheesh . . . if it were true that Sulla's first wife was a Julian, that would make him Caesar's uncle by marriage. SURELY someone would have noted that, in view of the fact there was a very real possibility he wanted the lad quite dead at one point? Of course, it might also make a great deal of sense as to why Caesar was, in fact, reprieved, when so many others were not. But it would surely cast his relationships into high relief, not to mention - having Gaius Marius as one uncle, and Sulla the other?
