about the plaster castings:
The Archeological Institute of the University of Göttingen (Germany) owns the oldest academic collection of plaster castings of classical sculptures... from over 150 museums in all the world.

the purpose is not to provide models for art students etc, but to have a possibility of comparing different scultpures

secondly: about smaller images: any program for graphic processing (photoshop, gimp, ...) has a feature of altering the sizes of pics... but sometimes the appropriate menu items are no easily found ;-)
