Just because we only have a few people actually posting, does not mean they are the only people in Gaul! In addition to posting on behalf of those who can't log in yet, don't your personae have siblings, cousins, distant relatives, friends, neighbors and etc??? These non-posting "people" can fill in between those who do post.

another thought: the viewpoint of those in the crowd lining the route would be just as interesting as that of the runners - and could help document parts of the route between the "real" runners.

Here's how it could work: runner-1 hands off the tourch to a non-posting runner who is observed from the crowd by someone's cousin. This non-posting runner then hands off the tourch to runner-2 who then hands off to another non-posting runner. . . .
