I just ran across that about a day ago and haven't had a chance to google the net and see if there are any other references. He's definitely associated with Upper Egypt, but where exactly he would fit into the scheme of things is unknown at this point. *grin*

Re: Narmer article - I read that as soon as my issue of KMT arrived. *grin* I actually found it very refreshing to see someone point out that any "conclusive" interpretations are actually only speculation. The interesting comment regarding the two crowns has been one that has occurred before, I believe Toby Wilkinson puts forth that they may not have had the same meaning as in later times as well. *grin*
