With reference to Hoor, where might he fit into this schema, albeit tentatively? If you have any references to him, I would like to do some reading up on what has been discovered so far, if possible.
With reference to Narmer, did anyone see the article in the latest KMT, Reconsidering the Narmer Palette, where it seems less likely that one can necessarily assume that the palette is describing the unification of the Two Lands? It is the author's contention that the two Crowns may well not have had geographic significance at that time, and that it is unknown if kings prior to Narmer wore the two crowns, or not.
The author, Jacques Kinnear, concludes that the only interpretation we can be certain of is that a king whom we call Narmer won a battle in a marshy region of Egypt. Whether this event was merely regional or of larger import remains to be discovered, according to this source.
