Hmm, interesting post. I would have to say that I agree, somewhat. Although there was much Scandinavian blood flowing through the veins of the English monarchs at the time, was it enough to constitute an full scale changing of the name. I would say yes, probably. I am not well versed in bloodlines or racial matters during this time period, but I'd be interested in learning more. Either way, Anglo-Scandinavian England would be fairly accurate.
