    I love this site: http://www.w3schools.com. They have code samples so you can see the code in action. And they have interactive pages so you can test code and play with it live. And they cover HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSL, XSLT ... Javascript, DHTML, SOAP, WAP, DTD, DOM, SQL, .NET ... well, you get the idea.

    And best of all ... it's FREE!
