I have managed to stay out of trouble here, just by keeping my nose to the grindstone. Somehow I have managed to avoid all the court intigue.

The timeing at least is perfect. Already I am packing my things in preparation to departe for Palmyra. It is a desert oasis. My cousin has sent me an urgent summons to help out with the family business. I am under obligation to fullfill this request.

I shall miss this beautiful island. Life on the desert really has no great appeal, but when duty whispers, go_ I must.
