Here is a web site of a very good 'junior Astrology course'.

Unless you are particularly keen on understanding the mathematics and construction of a chart, I would recommend obtaining your own chart data from one of many free Astrological sites and then maybe beginning this course from lesson 10. Of course you can still refer to the previous lessons but this way you will already know the vital information without the need and worry of calculating it acurately yourself.

To obtain your chart and therefore chart data, you need to know three things:

    1) Your date of birth (I think you'll know this!)
    2) Your place (town/city & country) of birth (Same here!)
    3) Your time of birth (May be a problem!)

This last one is the single most personal bit of information required to set up an acurate chart, which is symbolic of your precise personality and whole being. An approximate T.O.B is better than no idea at all and in a case where it is unknown, it is common practice to erect a chart placing your Sun or 'star' sign in alignment with the Ascendant or 'rising' point of the chart. This may not make any sense to you at present but most Astro sites will have an option to state that your T.O.B is unknown - the software takes care of the rest and sets up the chart as I've mentioned.

This type of chart is both much less acurate and 'personal' but still affords a general interpretation of your key personality traits.

The primary data that you're after in order to interpret your chart yourself are the following:

    1) The planets in their signs and exact degrees and minutes.
    2) The Ascendant and MC (Midheaven) by sign and deg / min.
    3) The planets by 'house' position (1-12).
    4) The planetary 'Aspects', often in the form of an 'Aspect grid'.

The ideal web site will provide all of this information. You can then learn Astrology and how to interpret your own chart from the course.

Here is the URL for the Astrology course:

    http://rosanista.users4.50megs.com/library02/jaceng01.htm

This next web site is a good start for a 'computerized interpetation'. It's free and provides a 'short report' of the important aspects of your personalty. It doesn't, however, provide all of the data needed for self-interpretation:

    http://www.astro.com/cgi/ade.cgi?ract=atxgen.cgi&btyp=apx&lang=e&cid=

The following site provides the 'chart wheel', allowing you to see what your graphical chart looks like. There is also a basic report but the only data provided are the planets' degrees in their signs. If you know enough about Astrology, you can obtain the data visually from the chart wheel.

If you are prepared to pay for a chart, this next site charges (at time of writing) $34.95 for a 25 page report which is e-mailed to you. I cannot rate this chart myself but it would be up to you as to where you obtain a chart from and at what cost.

I hope you find this course and information to be satisfying as it takes you on a journey into understanding your own, or others' personalities!
