Hello everybody. I've been gone for awhle with a sickness, but I think that I'm ok now. Did anyone see the History Channel's presentaiton of "barbarians" last night at 9:00 EST? It was excellently done. It is essentially a four part series on the "barbarians"(a rather loose colloboration of people and somewhat incorrect). Last night there was an hour long special on the Vikings, and then one on the Goths. I beleive tonight there is one special on the Huns and then one on the Mongols. Very interesting stuff. And the History Channel has done a very good job with the settings, clothing, weapons, depictions, and information covered. Dr. Kelly DeVries of Loyola College was one of the historians on the Vikings special. I highly recommend these specials, especailly if there are any teachers or professors in this group, as they would make excellent teaching materials. Cheers.
