Salvete amici! The Roman Republic role playing game enters the Republic's history in the year 70 BCE, in the Consulship of Pompey and Crassus. At this point is where RR splits off from established history.

However, there were some changes in the timeline - for instance, when Caesar was kidnapped by pirates in the East, he was killed, not released.

Besides that, however, the history of our world is the same of the Roman Republican world, until 70 BCE, just a year after the end of the Spartacan slave rebellion, three years after the end of the rebellion of Sertorius in Spain, and scarcely half a century after the Marian War, the Social War, and Sulla's dictatorship.
