That plus his augmentation convinced me that something wasn't right in Davis et al denigrating the Carmen as a phony original source. But I am anticipating Barlow. So far, Oxford University Press has not replied one way or the other: silence is favorable, I choose to believe. But if they in fact send me an "out of print" notice, I shall be getting in touch with you pronto, since you said maybe you could help me secure a copy.
