LOL - Great that we are having this discussions! Lively, funny posts. Please continue - this will surely show the site management that there is interest in Rome and that we are willing to work on it and terrific ideas too.

Anyway, just a couple of points (yeah, again):

    (1) As said, we don't know! We haven't as of yet got any final decisions, and as long as there are no such final decisions, let's keep discussing this.

    (2) Because, and JUST because, the scribal plan incorporates many of the ideas suggested in this and the other discussions so far, please let's continue to use it as a basis for this discussion. (Remember, it is really nobody's view. I for one have a couple of points I originally thought differently than the plan suggested, but we need to compromise, and I have to admit many ideas from others were a lot better than mine and thus THEY are in the scribal plan.)

    (3) Like Laurels and Paullus and Diantha and myself have been saying on this topic - please offer alternatives and argue for othem. Don't just disagree but tell what you would agree with!

    (4) The citizens/patrons issue is, as appears from this discussion, the most difficult one what comes to the scribes plan. Let us NOT get into endless lists of what the patrons have and what the citizens don't. BUT let's discuss it. Let's see what alternatives we have here. Having citizens and patrons reside a bit differently was never a pet idea to me - then again, I have always been a lot into rewarding everyone who supports the site and patronage is one very important form of this. I think there is no disagreement about this here - but the media can always be discussed and hopefully the discussion will continue.
