In looking for images for use in homes and in plaque creation I've come across some good sources of art/ancient images that you can use for non-commercial use. I know of a few really excellent ones for use commercially too, but wont add them in unless someone asks.
VROMA.org offers extensive list of images greek and roman - (tip) the image search has never once turned up anything for me, but if you click on browse underneath it, there are some excellent listings, here's an excellent one for images of homes/forum/views from Palatine, Curia etc (maybe good for 3d imaging of neighborhoods?) Slides of the Forum Group
Images from History - unsure who sets this up, but it is a great list of ancient images from all over the world historically.
Maecenas: Images of Ancient Greece and Rome-each page set up with hundreds of small thumbnails, great for easy browsing to find what you are looking for.
Shee-eire Ireland Ancient Lore-has over 4500 images, some really beautiful ones of megalithic monuments and gold torques and such, has no posted terms of use anywhere, I've emailed them requesting some terms of use info for photos but have not been replied to yet. I'll update this when they do.
