I need to know about Widows in Ancient Egypt...Mostly, around 1000BC area, give or take a few thousand years.
I know that there are contracts, that the wife will mostly get around one third of the value...
But, for this senerio: Wife, husband killed, she's 20, no children, owns a small shop.
Does anyone have any sort of vauge idea as to what may happen to her, besides receving one third of the value and giving the rest to her late husband's family?
