Who had been the Greates comedy writer in ancient times? In my opinion is Titus Plautus. He wasnt ever replicated by anyone -nobody could be so ... so ... SO, as he was with his works.
The wonderful and amazing ideas, taken also by XVIII sec. writers, astonish us all. What about the two twins who never seen each other and do a mess? What about the unlucky bold soldier? And what about Amphitruo and Jupiter jokes?
Not Goldoni nor shakespear could even imitate all these jewels.
    Great Plautus, great...
maybe greatest of Martial, if I dare to compare.
