Overview
Altogether eleven people were nominated and voted for, and eighteen people casted their votes (of some kind) in these elections. The results, for the most part, were quite clear.
What comes to the nominations and voting, the nomination period did last for quite a while, and I also strongly feel all those actively partaking in this process and posting on this group has had the chance to nominated him/herself or be nominated. This is especially true as I have counted in the nominations that were made during the voting process. This was a choice I made because of the problematic nature of our schedule, but I think everyone agrees we need to be flexible and give everyone the chance to participate.
All votes during the period from Sunday the 28th to Saturday the 4th have been counted. As far as I can see, all active members of this group casted a ballot of some kind during that period. Also, Hapshetsut Nebet's pre-votes have been counted and Kinsella Thutmose's votes she posted earlier, have been counted, as I think Kinsella is the only person who did not re-vote after the "official" voting period started.
The Results
I have arranged this list alphabetically. The name of the candidate is started first, and below that the positions for which they have got votes, and next to the position title, the number of votes they received for that position (in arabic numbers).

Interpretation
Laurels Curius
Laurels was one of the two people (the other is Nefermaat) who declared candidacy for Weaver I position. With the most strong support for Weaver I, 14 votes, I think the result is very clear and Laurels has got the proxy of the membership for Weaver I position.
Talaitha Domitius
With 13 votes for Guru (apparently specialized in graphics and programs such as PaintShop Pro, as we have all seen her beautiful work), Talaitha has the support of the membership for Guru/Editor position.
Belay Fabius (nominated during voting process)
Belay's case is one of the more complicated. As he hadn't returned to the site before the nomination period had "ended," he wasn't nominated until the voting process. Most of us know his work and great skill what comes to all kinds of things. (Personally, I have to state that this man has helped me several times during the past years.) Belay got most of his votes (5) for the Weaver IV position, although he also got several votes for other Weaver positions and generally for "Weaver" (altogether 4). Belay got some votes (3) for Guru position, as it was apparent nobody knew what this Guru person would himself want to go for. But, as Julilla Sempronius's candidacy for this position was conditional, my interpretation of this vote is that the majority of those who voted after Belay's nomination was done by Julilla The Divine, voted Belay in as Weaver, and more specifically Weaver IV. Thus, I strongly suggest getting a firm grip of this specialist and making him a Weaver IV.
Hapshetsut Nebet
Hapshetsut got altogether 18 votes, all of which were for Weaver position. As a runner for Weaver III position, she got a clear proxy of 11 votes for that specific post. (For the record, all of the other votes were for the positions "around" Weaver III, that is, Weaver II and Weaver IV.) I interpret this vote as clear sign of support and trust towards the skills of this graphics and HTML specialist, and suggest the Weaver III position for her.
Neima Nebet (nominated during voting process)
Neima was nominated during the voting process, and immediately got two votes (among the last voters on this topic), for Guru/Editor position. I interpret this as a sign of trust towards this highly active member of AncientWorlds, and suggest that if Neima accepts the nomination and candidacy, and this proxy, she is also appointed as Guru/Editor for the group.
AzureEyes Ramesses
AzureEyes's case is quite clear. From conversations and her posts, I have noticed she would like to continue as Weaver II and be the soul and spirit of this group in the future. And of the 16 (!) votes she got for Weaver, 14 were allocated for the Weaver II position. With nobody else running for that specific position, AzureEyes has got most clearly the support of the membership to continue as Weaver II.
Nefermaat Ramesses
Nefermaat was running for Weaver (I) position, and perhaps because we are not yet familiar with her work as much we are with that of others running, she didn't get as many votes as several others did. In any case, 6 people voted for her, and most (4) of the votes were for Weaver V position. From the discussions in this group it has become clear we need a wide-ranging and varying leadership. Nefermaat has got support for Weaver V position, and I suggest we let her show her skill and talent in that very place in this group.
Frontinus Sempronius
With altogether 17 votes for Guru (apparently HTML and page construction, with which Frontinus is very familiar), Frontinus has deserved the Guru/Editor position he was running for.
Julilla Sempronius (conditional acceptance of nomination)
Julilla got several, altogether five votes, for Weaver (III & V) and the same amount, five votes, for Guru. This spreading of votes is mainly due to her accepting the nomination conditionally. I am suggesting that as Julilla is a very, very busy demigod and hard worker altogether, and we seem to have five people interested in the Weaver positions, we go for the latter votes and appoint Julilla as Guru, or - as she said herself - Patron Goddess of Web Weavers. Julilla could be a supervising editor who, when needed, comes in and stretches her long, divine hand offering help to those in need - that is, she could back up all the other editors, and help them with their problems.
Toman Thutmose
With one vote for Weaver IV, and 16 (!) votes for Guru, Toman Thutmose has got the support of all of the active membership for his appointment. Based on what Toman has said and showed in his own posts on the group board, Security is what he is capable of handling very well, and that is exactly what he also is interested in, so I am interpreting this vote so that Toman has got the group proxy for Guru/Editor (of Online Security).
Demetria Xanthippos
Last, but not least, Demetria, who also got 16 votes for Guru, and most certainly has deserved a position as Guru/Editor of Arachne's web.
Elected Positions
According to my interpretation, the position holders of Arachne, after this election, are as follows:
Weavers:
Weaver I - Laurels Curius
Weaver II - AzureEyes Ramesses
Weaver III - Hapshetsut Nebet
Weaver IV - Belay Fabius
Weaver V - Nefermaat Ramesses
Gurus:
Talaitha Domitius
Neima Nebet
Julilla Sempronius
Frontinus Sempronius
Toman Thutmose
Demetria Xanthippos
I ask the Weaver I Proxy to confirm or denounce these election results prior to any changes to the membership status based on these results.
