hello,

this last weekend, my husband and i went to Juarez, Mexico for just a few hours, and i purchased a (copy) sculpture that had a label of "maya Madre" on it. it is a sculpture depicting a very pregnant woman, with a baby's head coming out from between her legs... in her left hand, she is holding an object (which i'm not sure the identification of) and her eyes are closed, and head thrown back. i am curious to find out more about this interesting new treasure of mine, and would like to know if anyone could offer more info on it for me?
