SenenAnep, I think what Valeria is trying to do is use JAVA in her domus, not javascript.. Though there are also javascript functions that provide image slide shows, the better ones are in Java, not javascript. I asked Cornellia the PowerTool weilding Goddess whether or not AW supports Java,as I suspected it didn't when Valeria asked about it earlier (why she couldn't get hers to work) and Mizz Corny said that no, AW could not support it at this time, though maybe someday Jot might incorporate it.

Valeria, you've used the words javascript AND java in your requests for info on how to do something in your domus, but mainly the words 'java applet'. (In your grams to me, and in here: Your post in CoffeeShop.) So I'm going to assume that is what you meant. You may not know that they (javascript and java) are NOT the same thing. BELIEVE me when I tell you I am not pointing at you and making stupid faces, as I had the exact same problem telling the difference between the two.. and since there are explanations of the difference between javascript and java in almost every java information site on the net, I can safely assume it's a pretty common misconception.

So to explain the difference for anyone wondering/confused, here are a few links:
NOTE* links will open in a new window

    JavaScript Kit, formerly website attractions
HTML Goodies to Go's JavaScript primers
The first link's home url (wwww.wsabstract.com) is a really good source of javascript tutorials, free javascript codes, and even java applets, including image slideshow codes in javascript, and slideshow applets in Java.
The second url goes to my absolute FAVORITE web help site.. if you don't already know it, it has fantastic easy to learn tutorials, examples, code reference library, you just name it, it's got it. I want to marry that guy.

For the record, aside from a few restrictions (according to SenenAnep's previous post, which I didn't even now till now.. thanks Sen) on javascript usage here in AW, it IS possible to use throughout your domus's and thread posts. But once again, at least for now, NO java applets, unless maybe if they were linked from elsewhere?
Valeria, if you were trying to use javascript code to display that image slider, and it didn't work then we should have you post the code here and we can (ok, someone more adept at Javascript than I can!) maybe work it out and figure the problem. That is what Arachne is famous for, at least in the old days!
