I was born thirty years ago in a gens Aemilii family with four sons. Elderly patrician Valerius adopted me when I was seven years old. Thanks to him I got good classical education. Stoaic lifestyle and "every man has to do his duty" are my principles.

I married very young a beatiful Domitia but widowed after a short time. Deciding to leave everything I packed my stuff and traveled with my slave around the known world from Hispania to Mesopotamia, from Aegyptus to remote Hyperborea.

Lately I returned to Rome after ten years of traveling but things seem to have changed a lot. Especially great amount of Valerii here confuses me. Are we somehow related? Socializing with relatives have never been my piece of cake but in politics we could have common interests...

I'm certain my good name and my knowledge of foreign areas will benefit the glory of Rome.
