Finally, after years, our family has a stronghold again. It's not much to look at, though. Looking round, I finally see a good spot. Only a handful of people are milling about, but I see in my mind's eye that this courtyard will soon be so full of people and new buildings that one won't hardly be able to breathe. The fortress is grand and fine, but we need to fill it up! Shops especially, but public houses and a center for government are needed as well.

I walk to the site I've picked out and post a note I've scribbled for all to see:

Dear Cousins,

I'm headed off to Germania to get me cousin Hjördis. She's even better looking than me and has a fine knowledge of construction. As we need a grand hall to hold us and our friends, I'm seeking out any with a knowledge of woodwork and stonecutting, as well as artists and those who know the ways of green growing things. Hjördis has some rather fine ideas that could help make our town center quite fine indeed.
