I'm Nantonos Aedui and as you can tell (Aedui being a Gaulish tribe attested throughout the classicalliterature, and Nantonos being a Gaulish male name attested on one Gaulish inscription) my main interest and experience is things Continental Celtic.

While researching Epona, I discovered that many of the people who made dedications to Epona were Germanic, although the name of the Goddess herself is Celtic. Many of the cavalry units in which she was popular were predominantly Germanic - from upper and lower Germania, and from Noricum and Pannonia. In addition, the Epona artefacts cluster around the traditional German/Gaulish frontier, the Rhine, which is not really a frontier at all in terms of archaeology ... except for Epona, where there are zero Epona artefacts on the 'Germanic' (east) side of the Rhine. But very popular among Germanic peoples on the west bank.

So, I am not well informed yet about the Germanic peoples and that is why I am here, to learn and discuss. This new group covers exactly the right time period for me, and I am very happy to see it start.
